SECOND EDITION COMES OUT ON MARCH 17, 2021!!
The 2nd edition has substantially revised most chapters in the book. The central addition is that it explicitly incorporates constrained optimization techniques. A new section in the Mathematical Appendix explains the logic of inequality-constrained optimization, and how to solve for Lagrangian saddle points using the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions. Constrained optimization is used specifically in the chapters on consumer utility maximization, cost minimization, and Pareto efficiency.
